To increase my productivity and focus at work I decided to block facebook on my computer. It was becoming an unnecessary habit logging into facebook, so ultimately wasting my efficiency and most importantly time on a mindless act – such as skimming through the various photo albums.
Here are the steps to block any website on your computer, including facebook. These steps can be applied to any Windows version
1. Go into My Computer
2. Local Disk (C:)
3. Windows -> System32 -> drivers -> etc
4. Open a file under this name: hosts
5. An example is given in the file itself. This is what mine loos like:

127.0.0.1 www.9gag.com
6. Save it and close it.
7. You’re done! Now you can be productive again.
